Right now, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is engaged in a $100 million campaign to block reforms that would aid struggling Americans and help fix our economy.
Their goals? Sink health care reform, fight tooth and nail against any real solutions to the climate crisis, stop needed fixes to our labor laws, and make sure bailed-out banks can keep paying out billions in bonuses without any real accountability.
In fact, they're so determined to halt reforms, they sent out a fundraising email asking for $50,000 to hire a "respected economist" to "study" (read: attack) health-care reform. Their plan: Recruit hundreds more crony economists to support the study and claim that "the bill will kill jobs and hurt the economy.
For too long, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has fought for policies that undermine our country's values, our middle class, and our quality of life - policies that just benefit a small number of CEOs.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce doesn't represent me. It's Not My Chamber!
