Send a Letter to the Editor in support of the Employee Free Choice Act

Now that this historic election is over, we have an opportunity to make sure our new leaders in Congress join President-elect Obama in prioritizing the Employee Free Choice Act.

Over 800,000 people have signed our petition in support of this critical bill. Now we need to build on our momentum with letters on the opinion pages of newspapers across the country.

We've provided a sample letter as a guide, but remember that your letter is MUCH more likely to be published if you add your own story and put it in your own words. Here are a few guidelines:

• Keep it SHORT – most published letters are just a few short paragraphs.
• Keep it simple – make one basic point.
• It's best to refer or respond to a recently published article – one about the Obama transition or the economy would be perfect.
