Tell Burger King to Play Fair with Farmworkers
Tell Burger King to Play Fair with Farmworkers

Tell Burger King Execs to first respect people, then profits.

25,000 people have already
stood up for farmworkers.

Can you add your name?

Farmworkers who pick tomatoes for the fast food industry are among this country’s most exploited workers: subpoverty wages, no right to form unions, no benefits of any kind.

Burger King can join other fast food chains in making a huge difference in the lives of these workers in its supply chain by implementing fair wages and real rights for workers. Instead, it’s putting profits ahead of justice and dignity for workers.

Subject: Real rights & fair wages

Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,

I was extremely disappointed to read that Burger King has refused to work with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW) to ensure fair wages and improved working conditions for tomato pickers, and has sought to undermine the agreements the CIW established with McDonald's and Yum! Brands.

I call on Burger King to:

1. Pay a penny more per pound for the tomatoes Burger King buys and ensure the increase is passed along to tomato pickers in the form of increased wages.

2. Work with the CIW to establish an enforceable code of conduct to ensure fair and safe working conditions for these workers.

3. Stop working to undermine the agreements already in place with other fast food chains to improve labor standards for farmworkers.

As a consumer who cares about the way companies treat its workers, I look forward to Burger King making a profound and lasting contribution to workers' rights.
